From our offices in Toronto, Knowledge Engineers staff is working on custom software projects across a wide scope.
Knowledge Engineers uses a variation on the Rational Unified Process developed by IBM. It incorporates a 4 stage process to software product development. The four stages are: Inception, Elaboration, Construction and Transition.
Knowledge Engineers has incorporated a feedback loop into this model that allows for regular stakeholder participation during vision validation. This is a partial Agile methodology that allows defined sprints (a week to a month, depending on project size) where the stakeholder can observe raw functionality of the site at work. This allows the stakeholders to reaffirm their vision, and determine priorities going forward.
All projects are managed by experienced Project Managers following the Knowledge Engineers project methodology outlined below.
The project methodology is a modified version of the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMI PMBOK). This is the ongoing industry standard and best practice for Project Management and is the basis of the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
